  • Manage projects related to Circle K’s brand image, products, and store signage.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to promote internal products and programs, and coordinate launch programs internally and externally.
  • Create, organize, and implement advertising campaigns with external marketing and branding consultants, art designers, copywriters, media buyers and printers while meeting brand standards.
  • Support development of effective traditional and digital mass advertising campaigns to achieve sales objectives.
  • Monitor and post on digital and social media platforms including content creation, publishing, and in-store digital signage.
  • Ability to write communications, newsletters, advertisements, and presentations.
  • Plan and lead events (grand openings, customer appreciation, local product launch).
  • Review internal and external quantitative and qualitative market research studies and analyze findings.
  • Observe and research marketing and c-store industry trends.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, and establishing personal networks.
  • Help develop and manage the advertising budget.
  • Work together as a team, and take lead on action items to meet goals.  
  • A successful candidate will possess professional skills such as (but not limited to) creativity, design, innovation, ability to present in front of leadership, resourcefulness, adaptability, thoroughness, and organizational/planning skills.  

To properly perform the duties of this position as outlined above, it is essential that the individual be able to meet the following physical demands:

  • Ability to communicate accurate information efficiently in writing and verbally with associates, vendors, customers and other stakeholders in a manner consistent with business needs.
  • Ability to frequently move or transport items weighing up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to use his/her hands in order to handle or grasp items of varying weight. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and reach with both hands, arms and legs.
  • Ability to position self to stoop, bend, lift, twist, and reach.
  • Ability to sit at a desk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to operate a computer keyboard for data entry and observe computer screens accurately for data entry, use fax machines and copiers, and exchange information accurately for support via telephone communications.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines, interruptions, and stressful situations.

  • Minimum required: Bachelor’s degree with a major in Marketing and/or Advertising with five years’ experience in branding, marketing, and/or advertising.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with an ability to work effectively in a team environment across all levels within the organization.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment from beginning to end with little guidance, using project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to develop and maintain effective business relationships within and outside of the company.
  • Experience in retail and/or c-store channel experience preferred.
  • Background in traditional media production (radio, ooh, print), media buys, events, and reporting.
  • Demonstrated involvement in digital advertising and social media including targeting, ad placement and media buys, content development, establishing and tracking KPIs, reporting, etc.
  • Proficient in various computer software including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Adobe Suite and GSP Signage Software experience considered a plus.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills required.
  • Previous background in a media or creative agency is an asset.
  • Strong creative thinking.
  • Knowledge of managing an advertising budget.
  • A self-starter that is comfortable transition quickly into new situations and workgroups.
  • Adapts easily to a changing environment, can manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
