Position Summary

The Director of Leadership development will lead the development of impactful strategies to support mid-level leaders. This position will be responsible for the analysis of what it takes to be a successful Leader at ACT by evaluating competencies, completing a gap analysis, and developing content to upskill existing leaders and develop new mid-level leaders. Position will also create plans for evaluating current talent and bringing in new talent into the organization.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Partner with global team and BU’s to determine the right competencies for our mid-level leaders
  • Determine how to access future leaders and all incumbents
  • Administer and evaluate assessment for our current leaders to determine a plan for development
  • Complete a gap analysis on strengths and developmental opportunities
  • Develop a strategy and innovative learning solutions for upskilling current Market Managers
  • Design, deliver, and execute a program to develop future Market Managers/Leaders
  • Partner with Director of Recruiting to complete a plan for building the bench through external recruiting
  • Develop and design any needed training to improve competencies for Market Managers and other Mid-level leaders
  • Evaluate and build the best in class delivery model for mid-level leaders
  • Work with HRD’s to ensure programs are administered throughout the Global Markets
  • Utilize technology to create solutions for training
  • Other projects/duties as assigned

  • Ability to think creatively to look at current practices and think differently and innovatively to design best methods for development utilizing technology
  • Proven ability to create developmental experiences that change behaviors
  • Demonstrated ability to design and facilitate high quality professional development programs
  • Experience designing curriculum aligned to competencies
  • Experience leading others
  • Retail operations experience preferred

Education

Bachelor’s degree required
