Loss Prevention Supervisor


Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Law Enforcement or related field and/or 3-5 years Loss Prevention experience.  Must have excellent computer skills for program development in Word, Excel, Outlook, PeopleSoft and PowerPoint.  Must possess strong analytical skills, the ability to manage multiple activities, and strong detail orientation. Must have good verbal communication skills, written, listening, and facilitation skills.  Must be able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities as described below.  Must be able to maintain a positive team attitude and professional demeanor at all times.


Coordinates and manages the activities of loss prevention professionals in providing safety and loss prevention services to the company-operated retail marketing organization.


  • Oversees and serves as “gate-keeper” for the Crime Reporting System which is used as a key information component for measuring/managing store risk. Regularly reviews data and prepares analysis for both the field and senior management.
  • Establishes standards, designs and implementation of store security systems and equipment.
  • Partners with the Arizona Security Center to ensure a 24 Hour/7 Day/Week operation; circulates reports, photos and information regarding shoplifting and other crimes; surveillance and communication with store employees.  Trains and facilitates field operation access and usage of the ASC system.
  • Develops and implements testing criteria for equipment and prepares business case to support request for store security capital to support/sustain loss prevention programs in the Division.
  • Manages and maintains Loss Prevention / Community social media web site
  • Manages and maintains Community Monitor Program
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reading professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  • Maintains good Community relations with law enforcement and neighborhood groups.
  • Protects company assets by conducting or supervising all significant investigations involving company assets. Develops preventive or remedial programs to implement specific loss strategies for new marketing programs and reviews proposed designs for new store configurations and equipment.
  • Serves as primary liaison and contact point for all federal, state and local law enforcement agencies and responds to requests for evidentiary and restitution information from judiciary, courts and corrections.
  • Serves as central contact point for Ethics investigations involving store security cases and prepares responses from the field.  Also provides central contact point for contract third part insurance adjusters for customer complaints and liability issues.
  • Serves as key resource for general liability cases and provides litigation support by offering testimony on store crime data, training or operating policies.
  • Complies with federal, state and local legal requirements by studying and reviewing existing and new laws. Works closely with compliance programs and other store cash equivalent transactions.
  • Maintains/manages Loss Prevention and Safety staff (AZ Security Center) by recruiting, selecting, training and regularly communicating with employees. Plans and implements employee staff meetings and training programs. Conducts annual/semi-annual reviews, evaluations and development efforts and takes corrective actions with employees as may be required for acceptable conduct.
  • Personally conducts investigations into workplace theft and/or workplace violence by employees. Frequently responds to department needs/request for security services in internal investigations or sensitive employee terminations.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing defined Financial and KRA results as defined and required.
  • Maintains a safe and secure working environment through the enforcement of safety practices, providing information and training.
  • Ensures that the LP Team is “on call at all times” to handle issues or crises requiring hands on support and intervention.
  • Performs multi-tasks in a fast paced environment and completes other duties and tasks as needed.
