JOB TITLE:   Real Estate Project Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position provides project management support for real estate projects over multiple business units. Project ownership is from Letter of Intent to Construction Turnover. Coordinate people and processes to ensure projects are delivered on time and produce the desired results. The Real Estate Project Manager supports the company goals by focusing on personal accountability, customer service and work efficiency.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  

  • Generate Site Investigation Reports (SIR’s) for select development projects.
  • Meet with municipal officials to present projects and determine feasibility.
  • Manage on-site due diligence activities (surveys, geotech, environmental assessments, asbestos surveys).
  • Collaborate with the Real Estate Directors and Development Managers to secure planning and zoning permits (site plan approvals, conditional use permits, rezoning, variances, etc.).
  • Oversee/hire architects and civil engineers. Responsible for securing site and building permits.
  • Monitors development projects via project management software generating status reports as necessary.
  • Provides project management software training to others.
  • Performs other job-related duties as required.
  • Coordinate with Construction Managers to transition development projects from Real Estate to the Construction Team.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Five or more years experience in construction permitting and project management.
  • Experience within the c-store/gasoline industry preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with Expesite and Smartsheet a plus.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to effectively analyze and evaluate information to make decisions, solve problems and achieve goals.
  • Strong communication skills.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to sit for long periods of time and operate computer keyboard for data entry.
  • Ability to read computer screen accurately for data entry.
  • Ability to use fax machines and copiers.
  • Ability to hear and speak for support for telephone communications.
  • Ability to work under stressful situations.
  • Ability to travel up to 60% of the time.
