ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Gather information from Market Managers on staffing needs

  • Analyze available sourcing techniques and methods and develop appropriate sourcing strategies in support of specific job openings

  • Review employment applications and interview applicants to evaluate work history, education and training, job skills, compensation needs, and other relevant qualifications to recommend and refer the best qualified candidates for openings

  • Establish and implement College recruitment activities and programs

  • Inform applicants of job duties and responsibilities, compensation and benefits, work schedules and working conditions, policies, promotional opportunities, and other relevant information

  • Maintain accurate records of resumes, applicant flow, and employee selection in accordance with Circle K processes, procedures, and policies and appropriate national, state, and local laws and Equal Opportunity

  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with recruitment vendors

  • Extend and negotiate offers of employment with candidates

  • Update and retrieve applicant information in designated HR systems including Circle K’s applicant tracking system

  • Perform reference checks on applicants

  • Exercise appropriate judgment in maintaining confidentiality and communicating sensitive information with various audiences

  • Support Employment-related projects as assigned by Management

  • Generate and review employment assessments for applicants

  • Provide appropriate customer service to Circle K job applicants

  • Analyze and report effectiveness of candidate sourcing activities

  • Develop and coordinate print and online advertisements for Circle K job openings

  • Conduct speaking engagements at universities and recruitment events as necessary

  • Identify opportunities for recruitment process and system improvements and recommend solutions
     

    REQUIREMENTS

  • Knowledge of laws and procedures applicable to regulatory measures affecting employment and employee relations

  • Able to effectively interact with all levels of management

  • Ability to develop strong professional relationships with current and prospective employees of all types

  • Ability to travel

  • Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills is highly preferred

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • 3 years combined Human Resources experience including progressive sourcing and/or recruitment

    PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Knowledge of HR systems, including applicant tracking systems - Workday experience preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field from four-year College or university

  • Directly related experience in employment/recruitment

  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification
