Role Description:

The Senior Analyst reports to the Director, Global Tech Project Planning and Supplier Management at Circle K and is responsible for supporting the global Circle K IT organization with sourcing and vendor management responsibilities.

The Global Tech Project Planning and Supplier Management team is expected to provide global Tech project prioritization and strategic alignment  and service to the IT organization and other internal functional departments to manage all aspects of IT vendor management, including negotiation strategy, vendor relationships, sourcing engagements, contract negotiations, pricing exercises, and vendor service management.

The role requires a person who is an analytical, good presenter and creative thinker that has experience in supporting negotiations with high quality analysis, working with vendor portfolio analysis and identifying saving opportunities. The team is global in scope and will provide international exposure to management of key strategic vendors.

Responsibilities:

  • Procurement and vendor management: Develop and execute pricing and strategies for strategic IT vendors. Includes vendor approaches to pricing negotiations, agreement formats, software license models, acquisition strategy of IT vendors, license metrics, service levels and how these are contracted and can impact costs. Candidate must understand negotiation tactics used by IT vendors. Must have experience in contract negotiations including collaboration with internal and external legal teams. Retail IT sourcing experience and supplier risk management experience are a plus.

  • IT sourcing: Must have experience with the sourcing process from end to end with internal stakeholders. Need to support senior vendor managers in all RFx activities including RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs. Summarize received offers and ask for clarification information if needed. Gather and analyze additional economic, statistical and benchmark information. For simple sourcing cases also take lead on behalf of senior vendor manager

  • Contracts management: Must be able to evaluate and suggest the best conditions for various types of various IT contract templates. Past experience with coordination of internal feedback and discussions with legal and risk groups is beneficial. Should follow-up on due dates to assure no delays to project and sourcing deadlines in the process

  • Financial acumen: Should understand how to identify and drive savings through procurement and vendor management efforts as well as the types of savings vehicles. GAAP knowledge, CapEx versus OpEx knowledge required. Required to follow on total portfolio of spend and identify saving opportunities

Qualifications:

The Senior Analyst has experience within procurement and vendor management. In addition, we expect

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business required: Finance, Accounting or Management concentration preferred

  • Experience within IT sourcing, procurement, contracts, and/or hardware and software asset management

  • Understanding of key IT contractual business terms and understanding of legal contractual terms

  • Negotiation experience with strategic IT product and service providers

  • Experience with vendor proposal analysis and comparison, including Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)

  • Demonstrated experience in vendor performance follow-up

  • Knowledge of vendor negotiation strategies

  • Excellent communication skills in English – both verbal and written

  • Advanced oral and written communication skills

  • Computer literate, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams and SmartSheet

  • Travel: 0-20%, potential for global travel
