What you will be doing

As a Business and System Analyst you will be in frequent contact with various business stakeholders from various European countries. You will be responsible for gathering, documenting, clarifying, validating etc. their business and solution requirements / user stories, which will serve as the basis for UML specifications that you will prepare for development team. During project initial phase you will facilitate complexity and effort estimations with the support of key team members. You will be the SPOC for developers when it comes to clarify any logic they are implementing and it is very likely that you will be a SCRUM Master. As the person knowing in details project scope and technical solution, you will contribute to various project management tasks although you are not expected to manage any project directly. When the project is about to end, you will support user acceptance tests and clarify any doubts that may occur during this phase.

What you WON'T be doing

You will NOT perform extended business analysis tasks (like market research, business processes redesigns, etc.), as you will be a part of the team that works on IT solution
You will NOT manage a project, as we clearly distinguish Analysts from Project Managers (unless you prove that you are a better PM than an Analyst :)

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing requirements (gathering, documenting, analyzing, resolving conflicting requirements, tracking realization progress etc.)
  • Coordinating/contributing to project complexity and effort estimations (in close cooperation with developers, architects and project managers)
  • 'Translating' requirements into functional specifications (UML models - use cases, logical data models, algorithms etc.)
  • Supporting tests

Must have Qualifications

  • Master/Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related professions
  • A truly analytical mindset
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of and proven experience in requirement management best practices
  • Practical knowledge and hands-on experience in UML (Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect is preferred)
  • Strong soft skills helping a Business Analyst to be successful at work
  • Team player
  • Good command of written and spoken English

Should have

  • At least 5 years of proven experience in performing various business and system analysis tasks
  • Knowledge of business analysis best practices (BABOK preferred)
  • Knowledge of BPMN
  • Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence tools
  • SCRUM experience
  • IT background, SDLC knowledge and experience

Nice to have

  • Domain knowledge of retail fuel market
  • Professional experience as a software programmer
  • Any professional certifications in Business or System Analysis
  • Hands-on experience in process mapping using BPMN
