The Senior Quality Responsible (QR) in Global TECH Fuel & Retail Systems Europe department is part of a team with the overall responsibility for delivering critical solutions to support the Fuel and Retail Value chains in Circle K. 
The Senior QR tasks are first of all focused on securing the operational stability of Circle K’s newly acquired and highly critical Energy Trade and Risk Management (ETRM) system. The ETRM system is a large and complex Database Driven, Client-Server solution based on the Microsoft Stack. The system requires continuous attention to ensure and optimize the availability and performance of the system. In addition, the Senior QR has a critical role in supporting the ongoing business development in the ETRM domain. 

As a Senior QR in Global Tech you will Join an International Community of Professional Subject Matter Experts in all disciplines of IT Operations. Most are located in Warsaw, but you will also get to work closely with peers and colleagues in other parts of Europe and North America. You will occasionally be required to work outside business hours in relation to system maintenance and upgrades etc. and you will occasionally be required to travel to take part in workshops and meetings.


  • Daily Operations; Incident handling. Logging and Health Monitoring. Secure patching and upgrades. Service Level data capture and Reporting, etc.
  • Continuous Improvements: Optimize infrastructure and Applications, Optimize and Automize operational tasks, etc.
  • Budget and Administration: Control and Follow up on Operational costs. Ensure a strong and productive collaboration with relevant vendors. Follow up on Vendor Service Agreements and other agreed deliveries.
  • Projects and Change Management: Support projects as required, Manage Minor Development tasks, Manage and Implement Changes. Ensure strong Governance of own area and clear interfaces with overall IT Governance.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Solid hands-on experience with managing and maintaining complex Client-Server based solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with MSSQL Server Data Management and Analytics.
  • Hands-on experience with Software procurement and Life-cycle Management.
  • Good Business understanding and commercial Awareness.
  • Extensive Outsourcing and/or Vendor management experience. 
  • Good understanding of ITIL and Service Management principles and Processes.
  • Experience with light Project management.
  • Strong in spoken and written English.


  • Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent.
  • One or more Microsoft MCSA/MCSE Certifications or equivalent.
  • ITIL/Service Management Foundation certification.
  • Understanding of Azure Cloud Fundamentals; Computing concepts, Core services, Security, Pricing, etc.
