The Sr. Manager, Concept Development is responsible for supporting the global Famous For category teams through effective development, creation, sourcing, coordination and implementation of approved new global concepts, hardware, offers or programs.  He/she also supports projects and coordinates design information and best practice sharing with local resources in North America. Support of new category offers created globally for ACT are to include theater operational design, hardware, equipment specifications, construction blueprints and concept manuals. This role will identify and lead the right agencies and design companies, as needed, to work with for floor layouts of new retail concepts, while partnering with Global, National and local teams in North America. Utilize AutoCAD for creation and development of floor layouts and equipment elevations.


  • Participate as part of global category team to contribute to research, development, testing, roll out and planning activities
  • Actively participate in category development project teams to create new offers and partner with Execution Team and BU to pilot new ideas, offers and innovations for future category growth
  • Responsible for concept operational design, equipment selections, construction requirements and concept manuals effectively communicating all items needed to implement an approved concept design.
  • Actively participate in NTI team to create new Famous For NTI standards / layouts based on customer insight data and preferences
  • Work with local Concept / Facilities resources to coordinate all activities, secure understanding & buy-in and ensure effective implementation with high success rates
  • Support procurement opportunities and manage supplier frame agreements related to all concept development and installations
  • Support the process with local Category teams in new development, creation, sourcing, ordering, installation for all new concepts and ideas as needed
  • Ensure global concept framework standards and guidelines are clear and followed in regards to all local BU development
  • Analyze effectiveness and performance of new concepts, provide reporting and offer input for improvements; how to minimize costs and maintain quality/safety standards
  • Look for new industry trends, innovation and concepts and share with relevant departments and stakeholders
  • Plays a key role to ensure optimal collaboration and communication with key stakeholders and within the various networks
  • Represent the global category team in local internal and external forums within concept
  • Support the development of a Road Map for testing and implementation including an updated yearly category investment plan on a BU level for the BU market area assigned
  • Be the main contact point for concept in the Famous For team for all local resources and support roles in North America
  • Regularly communicate with and share best practices with Europe concept resources
  • Engage in regular BU and market visits; Participate in relevant industry events.
  • Flexible with working hours and travel to support all global ways of working
