Manager Investigations & Operational Support

Roberts joined Circle K in 2019 as an intern while studying for his bachelor’s degree and soon found his place in the Wet Stock field. Since then, he has grown into project management, where every day brings new challenges and opportunities.

What motivates him is seeing tangible results, improving processes, and working with inspiring colleagues. The role is far from “just number crunching” — it requires leadership, technical know-how, training others, and making data-driven decisions.

Roberts values the strong team culture at Circle K, where focus and dedication go hand in hand with coffee breaks, games, and social events. A favorite memory is a team-building charades game, where terms like “pump flow rate” and “leakage” sparked plenty of laughter.

Works for Circle K in Canada

Klāvs started at Circle K in 2017 as an RPA Developer in Riga, building software bots and supporting digital transformation. Over time, he expanded the RPA team in North America, took on leadership roles, and grew into an international career.

Moving to Canada brought new challenges and opportunities, from adapting to a different work culture to embracing the country’s openness and diversity. Along the way, he has developed leadership and communication skills, learned to turn technical solutions into business value, and built a strong global team.

He describes Circle K as a large corporation with the agility of a startup and is passionate about showing how automation enhances human work, freeing people to focus on what matters most.

Team Leader in Fuel Accounting

Ralfs’ Circle K journey began during his bachelor’s studies, when he worked at a station in Mežciems. Later, an internship at the Business Centre turned into a full-time role, setting the stage for his career growth.

What drives him is the chance to learn and improve in an international, fast-paced environment, supported by inspiring colleagues. Along the way, he has grown both personally and professionally, gained valuable experience, and built lasting friendships.

He describes the workplace as friendly. And while people often assume his role is about setting fuel prices, his work is quite different. A moment he still remembers fondly is at RTU Career Day, where a spin of the prize wheel led to a short chat with HR — and eventually, to the career he enjoys today.

Paula’s Circle K journey began as an intern, and with big dreams and consistency, she turned that start into a successful career at Circle K Business Centre.

Over the years, her motivation has evolved. Today, as a manager, she is inspired by watching her team grow, improving processes, and building a strong, collaborative culture. Along the way, she has gained both professional growth and lasting connections with amazing colleagues.

She describes her workplace in one word: dynamic. And while some imagine that working in Collections means showing up with a baseball bat to collect debts, Paula assures us that’s far from reality. Her role is about collaboration, precision, and making processes work better.

Her career advice is clear: never stop learning, stay curious, take initiative, and don’t be afraid to step outside your comfort zone. Most importantly, always understand how your work contributes to the bigger picture.

Manager Fuel Pricing

Agate started at Circle K in 2020 as an intern in Station Accounting, just before her final year of university. With the support of colleagues and managers, she grew step by step into her current role as Fuel Pricing Manager.

She has gained confidence, learned to take responsibility, and discovered how dynamic her work can be. What may seem like a “numbers job” is actually exciting once you see the impact behind the figures — and even fun enough for inside jokes.

Her advice: take responsibility, make decisions, and never hesitate to ask for support. That’s when work becomes truly rewarding.

Strategy & Transformation 

Līva joined Circle K in 2012 as a Junior Accountant for the Fixed Assets team in Norway. Soon after, she became a Process Lead and has since taken on a variety of roles and projects across the company.

What drives her is the ability to achieve results and the trust placed in her. Over the past 12 years, Līva has gained valuable experience not only in business processes and project management but also in understanding and leading people.

She describes the workplace as ever-evolving, much like autumn. And while her child thinks she spends the day on the phone, her husband imagines she’s bossing everyone around, and her friends picture her drinking tea, the reality is quite different. Līva is busy juggling tasks, managing stakeholders, and keeping everything under control — turning chaos into success while making it look effortless.

As a manager, what she enjoys most is watching her team overcome challenges and finding fun in their work.

“I started my journey four years ago as a student worker in the HR Management and Recruitment Team. At that time, I had no idea where it would take me. After six months, my internship ended and I was promoted to Junior Recruitment Specialist. I had never led an interview on my own before, but my team was there to guide me with tips and tricks. Later, I became a Recruitment Specialist—and I still love leading interviews every day.

A few months ago, I took the next step and became a Junior HR Business Partner. I’m ready for the challenges and growth that come with this role. Global. Inspiring. Supportive. Family.

“I joined Circle K Business Centre seven years ago as a Distribution Planner for Poland. After just a year, I was appointed Supply Coordinator for Central and Eastern Europe, and later became Distribution and Supply Manager. The next milestone in my career came when we began supporting North America with fuel distribution planning. It’s hard to believe, but exactly two years ago we started this journey, and today we are planning fuel deliveries across the US and other markets from Riga Business Centre.

Most recently, I joined the Fuel Contract Management team as the next step in my career.

“I started as a Store Customer Representative in 2007. After three years, I became an Assistant Store Manager, and just one year later I was promoted to Store Manager. At the end of 2017, I had the opportunity to join Circle K Business Centre as part of the HR Payroll Team.”

Manager Customer Contact Center

Uldis began his Circle K journey 25 years ago at a gas station. After moving to the Business Centre, he worked in Accounting, later becoming a Customer Support Specialist. A key milestone was leading the 2014 Euro currency switch, which opened the path to a managerial role in Customer Service.

Today, Uldis manages the Latvian team and Ireland’s bulk order capture team. He values humor, teamwork, and always puts customer satisfaction first—while never forgetting the lesson to only make promises that can be kept.

“Ten years ago, I started as a Fuel Distribution Planner for southern Poland. Within two years, I was promoted to Team Leader for Poland Fuel Distribution, and soon after, for all of Central and Eastern Europe. Along the way, I also took part in projects that gave me valuable experience. Today, I lead the Supply Europe and Distribution Planning Team for Ireland.

Circle K is a place where I can grow and be part of daily operations on a truly unique scale—something hard to find in the Central and Eastern Europe marketplace. It’s dynamic, challenging, and never boring.
