Position Overview


Under the leadership of the Texas BU Hiring Manager, the Recruiter will be responsible for ensuring the proper staffing levels of 90 to 100+ stores by monitoring customer service associate hiring, and sourcing and interviewing candidates for store-level management positions. The Recruiter will take a proactive approach to recruiting efforts for Assistant Store Managers and Managers-in-Training by conducting job fairs and career workshops. The Recruiter will participate in sourcing and onboarding efforts for non-store level positions, as needed. By maintaining a talent pool of current Circle K employees and future employees, the Recruiter will assist with the development of talent within the company.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Post and manage job requisitions in the ATS
  • Make first contact with candidates within the first 24 to 48 hours of them applying
  • Screening candidates using various technological platforms
  • Coordinating in-person interviews between candidates and store managers (also evaluating technologies that can help in this area)
  • Drive candidate flow to underperforming job requisitions leveraging various recruiting methods (online and in-person events, job boards, applicant pools, talent leads, etc.)
  • The Talent Acquisition landscape is continuously changing and staying informed on and trying new recruiting strategies to generate candidate flow is expected
  • Deliver interviewing and hiring classes to new and developing Store Managers
  • Actively manages the receipt of background checks for candidates by updating the database on a daily basis to determine next steps for interviewed candidates.
  • Performs other duties as assigned, which are likely to vary overtime.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Written and verbal communication with supervisor and company leadership will ensure that achievements are known, and concerns are addressed
  • This position will require frequent updates and continuous change until we are able to find the best process to support our stores

Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication skills to read, listen, understand and communicate information and ideas in a clear and understandable manner, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability/capacity to work under pressure.
  • Works well independently and in team settings.
  • Possess intermediate skillset in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Ability to process information including gathering, assessing, organizing, auditing and verifying data.
  • College background preferred but not mandatory.
  • Working Conditions: Normal office environment with a combination of exposure to outdoor elements when working in the field. Work may occasionally include long hours, weekends, and holidays.

Helpful if you have:

  • Retail store management experience
  • Experience with Workday recruiting
  • Recruiting/hiring/interviewing experience
  • College Degree(s)
