The Security Architect is a member of the IT Cybersecurity & Risk Department in the Cybersecurity Architecture team in Circle K.

Person has practical knowledge and interests in the IT security area. The security architect, together with the team, provides requirements/guidelines, manages outsourced security services, act as security consultants for projects, designs and implements security reference architecture and handle security incidents together with the operations unit and vendors.

Reports to:

Sr. Manager IT Cybersecurity Architecture Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Contributes to and outlines security requirements and guidelines
  • Develops network, Endpoint reference architecture
  • Support IT operation on security incidents handling
  • Participate in projects as a security advisor
  • Follow-up the vendors regarding security services
  • Perform security risks assessment
  • Contributes to compliance processes for PCI DSS, IT SOX and GDPR
  • Conduct awareness training for the organization (eLearning courses)


  • Practical experience and skills in IT-security work
  • Good communication and presentation skills - English at business level is required
  • Proven ability to understand business requirements and translate these into adequate security requirements
  • Practical knowledge of security protocols and standards
  • Practical experience and skills in performing technical assessment and penetration tests
  • Knowledge of network components, protocols and security
  • Knowledge of Internet security standards and methods to secure Internet base services

4 or more years of practical Cybersecurity experience, preferably in operations. Certifications in this area will be a plus. CISSP, CEH, CISM

Education Requirements
Bachelor degree or higher in Computer Science with specialization in Cybersecurity or a combination of relevant experience will be considered.
