Job Summary: Opportunity for a self-starter who enjoys working independently and being part of a valuable team within an entrepreneurial culture that is fast-paced and streamlined. Candidate will insure compliance with state/federal regulations and Circle K policies, pertaining to the distribution of hazardous materials. The position will also provide support of personnel safety & health programs. Position will require an adept knowledge of both the transport & oil industry.

Essential Functions:

  • Continuously improve the Safety program which includes; regularly scheduled audits, complete annual unit field inspections, incident investigations, DOT compliance, insurance liability and worker compensation claims.
  • Support the relevant fleet personnel to implement the safety program.
  • Establish regular inspection schedules for the Fleets.
  • Conduct bi-annual field office audits on the fleets and ensure follow up and corrective actions are complete.
  • Complete unit field inspections with operations personnel and enhance safety culture and safety presence within the fleets.
  • Oversee regional insurance and workers compensation claims.
  • Assist in incident/accident investigations, analysis, root cause, preparation of reports; complete incident summaries and management follow up.
  • Prepare monthly inspections, audits and claims reports to Corporate Management.
  • Maintain logbook compliance records and retention. Audit 10% of driver logs monthly to ensure DOT compliance.
  • Work with fleet managers and Senior Management to support Circle K’s efforts to provide a safe efficient Fleet.


Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications /Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ experience preferred in the following Industries:
  • Vacuum, Pump Trucks
  • Commercial Underground Construction
  • Underground Utilities
  • Oil and Gas
  • Waste
  • Equipment Rentals
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local safety and environmental regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Top Customer Service
  • Leadership, Mentoring, Training
  • Hands-on Field Experience
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Knowledge of industry safety training
  • Dedicated and Self-directed
  • Heavy travel required 60-70%


  • Bachelor of Environmental Health, Bachelor of Mechanical or similar Engineering degree, or equivalent experience in lieu of a 4-year degree.

Other Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency level with Microsoft applications and database software, specifically including but not limited to: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint
