JOB SUMMARY

Prepare Circle K Worldwide Franchisees, their agents, and Franchise employees, to accomplish job results by developing, revising, evaluating and presenting training and development programs; certify, validate and document procedures required of TMC Franchisees.  Maintain computer software and hardware.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, implement, schedules and monitor training programs.
  • Create testing, reporting and evaluation processes.
  • Provide TMC Franchisees with classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, Web-Ex meetings, conferences, and workshops.
  • Identifies, recommends, develops, and implements programs, processes, and interventions to support business objectives.
  • Guide franchisees by providing on-the-job training using in-house training programs; providing updated training materials, procedures, system changes, etc. to franchisees.  Improve performance by coaching franchisees.
  • Ensures compliance with TMC Franchise training standards, requirements, policies and regulations by enforcing adherence to training systems, policies and governmental laws and regulations; advising management on needed updates and actions.
  • Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments, and best practices.
  • Maintain all record keeping in the data base for certification and license compliance. 
  • Increase professional and technical knowledge by; reading professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing Financial and Key Result Area targets pursuant to Company plan guidelines.
  • Performs other job-related duties and projects as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.  Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
  • 5 years of experience or more preferred in convenience/petroleum retailing; 2 years of experience in training as a facilitator or instructor.
  • Retail experience, especially at the store level is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning and instructional design principles
  • Excellent planning and organizing skills, especially in prioritizing multiple projects.
  • Strong management and execution skills, excellent written and verbal platform presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating system & Microsoft Office applications required; experience with technological delivery platforms and learning management systems desired.
  • Must exhibit enthusiasm and desire to advance self and others personally and professionally.
  • Physical Demands: Work requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, and use of keyboard/computer. Work requires occasional bending, reaching and lifting/moving up to 50 pounds. Work is subject to tight deadlines and interruptions can be stressful.
  • Up to 25% travel may be required.
