Reconcile General Ledger accounts specific to region.  Maintain relationships with banking partners as regional contact.  Assist accounting staff as needed in various functions.  Update and maintain department spreadsheets used in the reconciliation and analysis process.  Generates various ado reports showing pertinent financial data and trends.


  • Reconcile general ledger accounts.
  • Ensures accurate posting and timing of account entries impacting the P&L and Balance Sheet.  Reviews P&L and provides various reports to management.
  • Prepares period end asset and liability journal entries by compiling and analyzing accounting information.
  • Ensures accuracy of banking data in system.  This includes maintaining a list of the accounts, researching zero stores, and maintaining a relationship with the banks.
  • Creates and analyzes monthly reports related to store activity.
  • Responds in a timely manner to questions from operations and communicates changes in or new procedures as needed.
  • Maintains accounting controls by maintaining financial security following internal controls.
  • Ensures compliance with requirements, policies, and regulations by enforcing adherence to corporate systems, policies, and governmental regulations; rendering opinions and advising management on needed actions.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required. 
  • Candidate must possess strong written and verbal communication skills, be well organized, detail oriented, and have the ability to perform in a fast-paced changing environment
  • Five years of accounting experience or more preferred.
  • Must be computer literate in MS Access, Excel, and Word.
  • Experience working with accounting applications preferred; PDI, AS400, ReconNet, experience a plus.
