Legal Counsel/Senior Legal Counsel

About the position

Within the Legal Affairs Department and under the responsibility of the Senior Director, Legal and Corporate Affairs, the successful candidate will provide daily support to different business units of the Company within the United States. The selected candidate will intervene more specifically on IT, compliance & ethics, as well as personal information protection legal issues.

Main responsibilities

  • Draft, negotiate and review various commercial agreements regarding IT, should it be license, outsourcing, computer and accommodation services, payment solution software, inventory software and human resources management software and e-commerce solution contracts, to name a few examples.
  • Advise the IT and marketing teams, from a legal point of view, on implementation of new customer retention tools.
  • Oversee the execution and update of internal policies on ethics and compliance, as well as code of conduct, permitted (or not permitted) commercial practices and anti-corruption rules.
  • Coordinate the processing of complaints lodged under the anonymous reporting system with the related departments, participate in the inquiries, issue recommendations and, if need be, implement the required corrective measures.
  •  Ensure the monitoring of changes in applicable laws and regulations, especially regarding privacy protection, and bring required changes, if need be, to ensure the compliance of the company’s practices with applicable rules.
  • Support the managers in the incident and complaint management regarding privacy and collaborate with the different parties.
  • Develop and provide in-house training.


  • Called to a U.S. State Bar.
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant experience, including IT and personal information / privacy protection.
  • Rigor, analytical sense and business spirit.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to effectively manage priorities.
  • Enjoys working as part of a team.
