Job Description


  • Promote and drive a Loss Prevention awareness culture and lost sales reduction strategies
  • Promote best practice sharing and promote learning opportunities
  • Responsible for the intake of investigative requests and Security Hotline incidents; with necessary follow up and notification
  • Conduct virtual security tours through remote CCTV access as a means to proactively investigate potential incidents of theft/fraud, identify Health & Safety issues and conduct compliance audits
  • Record daily activity and complete incident reports as required in a professional manner
  • Distribute Security Alert’s as follow up to incidents
  • Assist Operations with regards to inquiries of DVR/ Security Systems Etc.
  • Assist/ provide follow up for Loss Prevention Coordinators with ongoing investigations
  • Receive all alarm calls from our service provider for follow up (i.e. Back door and PET alarms) and receive all after hour Support Office maintenance/security related inquiries
  • Liaise with local law enforcement, OLG/AGCO, and colleagues within the Loss Prevention industry
  • Act as a Circle K representative in legal in proceedings
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required


  • Post Secondary Education (Law Enforcement, Police Foundations etc is an asset).
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a Loss Prevention/Security setting. Multi-unit retail environment is an asset.
  • Available to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, nights and weekends; including holidays on a rotational basis
  • Knowledge of the Criminal Code of Canada, Provincial Offences Act and Trespass to Property Act is an asset
  • Previous experience and knowledge of CCTV/DVR systems is an asset; as well as familiarity with POS systems, Exception Reporting, and alarm systems
  • Strong observation skills
  • Confident individual who is able to command authority in a calm yet assertive manner.
  • Must be able to work with a high degree of honesty and integrity; specifically related to confidential/sensitive information
  • Self-motivated individual with demonstrated analytical and investigative skills
  • Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and multi-task with minimal supervision.
  • Possess superior customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult and hostile situations
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Must work well under pressure and in a team environment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills are required
