Job Description

Within Global Fuels the role of Manager, Category Fuels will be responsible for the execution of our Circle K Fuel Value Proposition. Primary purpose will be to support the execution of our Consumer Experience strategies. Will also lead the branded and Circle K Mystery Shop programs to ensure we are achieving a top quartile ranking with all fuel brands. The Manger, Category Fuels is responsible for the measurement, coordination and results tracking and reporting of all fuels marketing efforts across North America, both with the Circle K Fuels brand and partner brands alike The role of Manager, Category Fuels will support Global Fuels in successfully achieving Circle K’s objective to Become the World’s Preferred Destination for Fuel.


  • Drive operational excellence on forecourt and ensure execution of Mystery Shop programs (partner and Circle K)


      Following up on deficiencies with each BU

      Liaison between branded partners and BU for Mystery shop performance

      Ensure execution of Circle K Mystery Shop program

      Liaison with Alta 360 and BU

  • Ensure execution of Branded fuel partners Loyalty Programs


      Follow up with underperforming BU’s

  • Works with each BU to develop appropriate CAPEX and OPEX budget to ensure overall consumer experience is achieved.
  • Ensure execution of CAPEX and OPEX budget.
  • Circle K Fuel Brand Strategy execution.
  • Drive process of optimizing product portfolio.
  • Manage the reporting needs for North American Fuels Marketing to understand program effectiveness and impact from volume, margin and brand metrics perspectives.
  • Provide weekly like-for-like sales reporting updates for fuel sales, promotional performance, grade spreads, loyalty performance, etc.
  • Understand and provide proprietary analytics around industry trends and business insights from partner brands.
  • Measure performance and provide detailed insight with regard to regional and national fuel promotions.  Provide pre-promotion analysis to business model financial impacts.  Provide on-going and post-program reporting.  Apply insights learned to influence strategy for future promotions.
  • Maintain (and develop new) databases and database management solution to coordinate all national fuels information.
  • Provide ad hoc reporting to support on-going business needs.
  • Develop and maintain a Global Fuels dashboard, tracking all Fuels Marketing activities.  Collaborate with cross-functional business units to report results broadly throughout the organization.


  • Degree in business or statistics.
  • Experience within relevant work can compensate for lack of formal education
  • >5 years within Fuels or Consumer Experience and or Consumer Satisfaction.
  • >5 years statistics or analytics
  • Experience in Data Management
  • Project Management.
  • Knowledge around market analyses
  • Knowledge of fuel brand marketing programs a plus
  • Experience with Power BI
  • Fluency in English, both written and oral
