Essential Functions:
Manages the NPT Drivers in Texas. Responsible for ensuring driver performance and compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
Responsible for recruitment and management of drivers.
Responsible for unannounced observations and compliance with Fleet SOP.
Responsible for the performance of the NPT drivers on key metrics including driver utilization, deadhead, and driver HSE & compliance. Ensuring that the drivers are operating safely and in compliance with all federal, state, and local law.
Responsible for training drivers and continually assessing overall performance.
Assists fuel dispatch in ensuring that there is enough driving capacity for required demand. Responsible to produce the man power plan for each month within the fleet (Driver Demand Planning).
Responsible for assisting with metrics in relation to Driver performance, Run out Rates, up time on equipment & deadhead costs.
Ensures that drivers maintain the highest standards in product quality.
Ensures that KRA’s within each market are met. Has overall responsibility for market budget and ensuring defined matrix’s are met.
Ability to driver & operate fleet material when required based on business needs. CDL Class A Driver's license with Hazmat endorsement required.
Ensures that drivers use telematics within the trucks in the proper manner. Is responsible for ensuring that drivers keep updated with new software updates.
Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting and orienting employees. Maintains staff job results by training, coaching, counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring and appraising job results.
Manages compliance with federal, state and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
Maintains safe and healthy work environment by enforcing organization standards; adhering to legal regulations.
Qualifications
Requires 5, years driving experience working in a petroleum and/or heavy trucking industry; 3 years fleet supervisory experience.
Experience with MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word preferred.
