This position will be part of the North American Operational Excellence Team. The goal of our team is to identify the best and brightest ideas to support Store Operations and it’s 65,000 employees. This can be accomplished through saving them time by reducing or eliminating the time it takes to do tasks, identifying tools to enable Store Teams to be better operators and improve the employee or customer experience.

You will become part of a talented team of specialists who have demonstrated skills in data, logistics, labor modeling, loss prevention, safety and store operations leadership.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross departmental and global teams through projects to support and improve workforce management and scheduling solutions
  • Participate in process/product reviews and simulations to access and understand labor implications for new initiatives and process changes
  • Design and participate in the implementation of both routine and ad hoc reporting
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine the labor requirements of new programs and initiatives
  • Conduct store visits to observe and capture feedback
  • Monitor store performance and proactively communicate trends and execution opportunities to maximize effectiveness. Provide guidance and education to help improve overall efficiencies
  • Support the development of store labor budgets to improve accuracy and alignment to company goals
  • Validate work standards and measurements through work sampling, time studies, and analysis
  • Continually monitor existing store operating methods to search for opportunities to improve efficiency
  • Contribute to company growth and profitability by always seeking better options to current methods and solutions by staying abreast of our industry and technology with the goal of continual improvement

Qualifications/ Skills:

  • Strong retail operations experience with working knowledge of store level processes/procedures
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
  • Experience managing operational or project financial budgets and leading project teams
  • Knowledge of workforce management components of time, forecasting, scheduling and task management would be beneficial
  • Has good business process knowledge
  • Must possess strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Highly organized and detailed oriented
  • Ability to make, articulate and implement decisions using data
  • Problem Solver with ability to visualize a variety of outcomes
  • Strong communications skills as you will occasionally be presenting to the Executive Leadership Team for one of the world’s largest convenience store operators
  • Self-starter with strong sense of urgency and accountability and has excellent focus on attention to detail with the capability to work and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
