This position partners with the functional business leadership team to implement, evaluate, and maintain the field training curriculum to support functional business processes, roles, and tasks. The Field Training Manager utilizes a consistent process to manage internal and external expectations and deliver cost effective products and services for Circle K associates with a primary focus on store operations.

The position includes, but is not limited to, the following essential job duties, responsibilities and requirements:


Manages the implementation, evaluations and maintenance processes that result in the execution of instructional programs, curriculum, training procedures, eLearning training and materials which provide performance-based skills and certification training Works closely with field management, training and development teams and subject matter experts to translate business objectives into training and development solutions and to ensure training materials are effective, current, relevant and compatible with Company policies and standards Implements testing and evaluation procedures to measure and assesses effectiveness of the curriculum and learner performance. Integrates results into new and existing course curriculum. Coordinates internal curriculum with technical and professional courses offered by community schools or other vendors Conducts root cause analyses of performance deficits, employee turnover and related trends. Identifies, recommends, develops and implements programs, processes and interventions to support business objectives Manages the scheduling, deployment, and tracking of training and development programs integrating organizational needs, resources and constraints into the process Obtains external training certifications allowing facilitation of brand curriculum and management certifications Performs other job-related duties and projects as assigned.


  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a training and development discipline. A minimum of 5 years experience successfully developing and delivering training curriculum in a restaurant or retail environment is required or an equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience a plus.
  • Restaurant and retail experience preferable, especially at the store level is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning and instructional design principles
  • Excellent planning and organizing skills, especially in prioritizing multiple projects.
  • Strong management and execution skills, excellent written and verbal platform presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating system & Microsoft Office applications required; expereince with tecnological delivery platforms and learning management systems desired.
  • Superior ability to read and listen, understand and communicate information and ideas in a clear and understandable manner, both orally and in writing.
  • Must exhibit enthusiasm and desire to advance self and others personally and professionally.
  • Physical Demands:  Work requires frequent sitting, standing, walking and use of keyboard/computer.  Work requires occasional bending, reaching and lifting/moving up to 50 pounds.  Work is subject to tight deadlines and interruptions can be stressful.
  • Working Conditions:  Travel up to 50% of work time.  Work may include long hours, evenings, week-ends and holidays.
  • Certificates & Licenses: Dual Role Certification with ServSafe and will require additional brand training.
