  • Develops North American merchandising and promotional campaigns, to include concept, execution, post-mortem phases;
  • Identifies, scales, and collaboratively deploys merchandising best practice initiatives – intra-national, national, and international in nature;
  • Facilitates the creation, management and communication of national activity calendars, to include initiatives and activities deployed by other sub-functions within the Global Marketing & Merchandising vertical;

  • Serves as key conduit and network leader for NA American Merchandising and Marketing teams, as well as key connection point for various suppliers and related third parties

  • Acts as key driver of Joint Business Planning process for strategic suppliers; identifies and exploits previously unleveraged opportunities, relative to package/price/promotion

  • Develops and coordinates standard reporting/analytics deliverables for north American promotional campaign initiatives;

  • Supports the development of campaigns by ideating, negotiating, and setting program objectives; establishes goals and targets, in conjunction with BU teams; 

  • Pro-actively engages internal and external stakeholders to assist in the planning, preparation and execution of merchandising campaigns and related activities
  • Collaborates closely with global teams and local/regional support departments including Marketing & Merchandising teams, Loyalty/Digital/Personalization teams, Category Management teams, Global Analytics, Procurement, etc.
  • Develops internal and external presentations as needed for business reviews; Delivers strategic value messages and storylines to both foster and accelerate results;
  • Facilitates the management and content structure of various reporting/information portals used by NA Marketing & Merchandising teams;
  • Works closely with BU resources to coordinate all activities and ensure effective implementation with high success rates; Facilitates optimal collaboration and communication with key stakeholders, both internal and external, and within the various networks of the specific campaign
  • Shares research and insights with local BU teams; Gathers feedback and input from BUs on needs, trends and localized consumer insights, where applicable
  • Serves as key member of Global Marketing & Merchandising team; participates in various forums and team meetings
  • Flexible with working hours and travel to support all global ways of working


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related field; MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of marketing and/or merchandising experience in a large, chain retail environment;
  • Strategic thinker with strong inclination toward collaboration and speed;
  • Previous experience managing strategic vendor partnerships, including supplier contracts and negotiation
  • Intermediate BI knowledge; ability to both apply and interpret data practically for use in real-world scenarios
  • Advanced skills: Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, & related Microsoft suite products
  • Must possess strong analytical skills, the ability to manage multiple activities, and retain strong detail orientation. 
  • Must be able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities as described above. 
  • Must be able to follow state, federal and company guidelines. 
  • Must be able to maintain a positive team attitude and professional demeanor at all times.
