JOB SUMMARY: Manages the transportation and distribution operations of the Holiday Commissary and the Bakery distribution from a third party supplier. Responsible for ensuring consistent delivery of all Holiday Commissary and Bakery items to designated Holiday Stationstores and franchisees
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Direct daily supervision of all Holiday Commissary and Bakery Route Drivers and order fillers including but not limited to:
o Scheduling routes
o Training
o Performance Management
o Administering disciplinary action
• Design and modify route structure to adapt to ever-changing retail environment and supply needs
• Monitor daily driver activity using PeopleNet Fleet management software.
• Coordinate inspection of fleet vehicles and schedule preventive/necessary maintenance as needed.
• Perform basic truck repairs (changing light bulbs, etc).
• Act as liaison between third party vendors and Holiday to resolve supply issues
• Review safety procedures with Commissary and Bakery Route Drivers as needed
• Ensure all product is properly delivered.
• Act as point of contact for resolving all issues that arise during the shift
• Resolve delivery missed stops
• Drive Commissary and Bakery routes as needed
• Interact with Stationstore employees, co-workers and customers
• May serve as back-up to other Holiday Support Facility management as needed
• Other duties as assigned by HSF management
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
• 7+ years prior transportation management experience in a warehouse/distribution/production environment required
• Ability to resolve issues and effectively communicate with various levels of employees and vendors
• Post high-school education, 4-year degree preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations
• Valid Class D driver’s license required; Class B or better desired
• Clean driving record required
• No positive drug or alcohol test results or refusals to be tested for the two previous years
• Must be able to perform simple arithmetic skills – add, subtract and multiply
• Must pass Department of Transportation Physical Capacities exam and drug screen
