Job Description

This role is pivotal to supporting the Real Estate Urban Development team in both Canada and the USA.




Real Estate Development:

  • Work with the Real Estate Managers in Central Canada and Great Lakes Division of the USA to organize and complete the Management Approval Packages (MAPS & SLAPS)
  • Provide financial analysis as requested for ongoing development project (In-depth knowledge of excel worksheets and formulas is essential)
  • Assist with site plans and agreement to purchase/lease
  • Work with the Real Estate Managers with any requests such as traffic counts, changes to MAPS/SLAPS, etc
  • On-site visits to potential development projects
  • Create store number, request AFE from construction and provide approval notice
  • Create segmentation analysis for various markets (as requested)
  • Coordinate development projects including engineers, architects, city officials, and in-house engineer to obtain site plan agreement/permit, building/demolition/etc permits, minor variance meetings and all comments/inquiries from cities/towns



  • Maintain and manage the real estate OneDrive
  • Maintain “Landvision" data (online site management system)
  • Maintain “Expesite" (project management system)
  • Maintain “PiinPoint" & “Sitewise" data Analytics database reports; as required
  • Coordinate any mapping/demographics reporting needs of Real Estate Manager on all network plans that are to be presented
  • Identify and provide development charges and permit charges for all new potential locations that are to have Slaps prepared for
  • Complete and submit market reviews on a period basis. Construction provides all construction related items
  • Work with Region Team members to identify and achieve proforma projections for all development projects

Job Requirements


  • College/ University graduate with Post-education in a related field considered an asset
  • 1 -3 years administrative or accounting experience within an office atmosphere, experience within a leasing, real estate or property management capacity preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills are required
  • Self-driven and ability to work independently and/or within a team environment
  • Full working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Strong Excel and accounting related skills is essential
  • Some knowledge of the French language would be an asset but not essential
